"1Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach.  2This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that He was associating with such despicable people... even eating with them!... 3So Jesus used this illustration, "4If you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness... wouldn't you leave the 99 others to go and search for the lost one until you found it?... 5And then you would joyfully carry it home on your shoulders.  6When you arrived... you would call together your friends and neighbors to rejoice with you because your lost sheep was found.  7In the same way, heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over 99 others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!" ... Luke 15:1-7

"Who or what gets to be the captain of your life?"...

Or...

"To what person or ideal... have you and I given the authority... to determine the agenda for the next 24 hours of our lives?...

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead... you will be saved!... Romans 10:9

"Everything is worthless... when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord."... Philippians 3:8

"Jesus died for everyone so that those who receive His new life will no longer live to please themselves."...  2 Corinthians 5:15

"God raised (Jesus) up to the heights of heaven and gave Him a name that is above every other name... so that at the name of Jesus... every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth... and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-10

"Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord'... and do not do what I say?"...  Luke 6:46

"47I will show you what it's like when someone comes to Me... listens to My teaching... and then obeys Me. 48It is like a person who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock.  When the flood waters rise and break against the house, it stands firm because it is well built.  49But anyone who listens and doesn't obey... is like a person who builds a house without a foundation.  When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble into a heap of ruins."... Luke 6:47-49
