1. Acknowledge and grieve the loss.

 "35Jesus wept." John 11:35

"I was sitting, torn by grief.  Someone came and talked to me of God's dealings... of why it happened... of hope beyond the grave... He talked constantly... he said things I knew were true, but I was unmoved, except to wish he'd go away.  He finally did"...

"Another came and sat beside me.  He didn't talk.. He didn't ask leading questions... He just sat beside me for an hour or more... listened when I said something... answered briefly... prayed simply, and left... I was moved... I was comforted... I hated to see Him go"...

Joseph Bayly, The Last Thing We Talk About

 2.  Don't just do something... stand there!

 3.  Embrace God and receive every moment of life as a gift.

32The time is coming... in fact it is already here... when you will be scattered , each one going his own way, leaving me (all) alone... Yet, I am not alone because the Father is with Me... 33I have told you all this... so that you may have peace in Me.  Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows... but take heart... because I have overcome the world."... John 16:32-33
