FAMILY: Husband, Al Harris [47 YEARS]. Two Sons: Jim (Construction), Tom (Salesman for Queen City Sausage)
SCHOOL: Graduated from Western Hills High School. No college education (BUT HAVE A LOT OF STREET SMARTS)
HOW LONG AT NEW HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH: I have been a member for 10 years. The day i attended New Hope I knew this was going to be what I called my "church home." The church has made a big impact on my life.
VACATION SPOT: Al and I enjoy Hilton Head, South Carolina. We have been spending our last 20 Winters there as well as various other times in the last 30.
PASSION: My passion is to see NHCC grow as we have been doing. The love and passion for each other through faith is unbelieveable. Growing in my own faith is also very important.
BOOKS: I thoroughly enjoyed "Tuesday with Maury." The love and compassion in this book touched me tremendously. I had and uncle I was very close to who had Lou Gehrig's Disease
SPORTS: As for watching I have no other choice as my precious spouse watches gold, fooball and basketball. I play none. .
HOBBIES: I love to cook and be involved in church activities. At the present, I lead a ministry called "Caring Chefs." We provide meals for our members due to sickness, loss of loved ones, etc...
FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE WESTSIDE: Everything. I was born and raised on the west side as were my parent and grandparents were. It's home.
SCRIPTURE: I have many. Genesis 28:15 "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go." And 1 SAMUEL 16:7 "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart."
