We continue to learn more and more about the fact that cancer patients as well as their family members and caregivers, have distinct needs.
An increasing body of research shows that faith has played a vital role in helping people cope with cancer... both mentally and physically.
In effect, our church is training to function as a health clinic specifically from a holistic care approach.
Journey of Hope is what we call our cancer support ministry. It is intended to supplement necessary medical treatment with the nurture and care that cancer patients and their loved ones require.
Our goals are to:
- Support those in our church family who encounter cancer
- Reach out to cancer patients and their families from our community
- Develop a solid cancer-care ministry through those who call New Hope their church home
- Provide education about cancer prevention and detection, resulting in a healthier church and community
