Military Ministry
Like so many generations before our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers have been sent to a foreign land in service of our country. New Hope has been directly affected by this. Ann Meyer (mother of 2LT Amy Meyer and SPC Kevin Meyer Jr.) along with Susan Bell (mother of PV2 Joseph Bell) have spearheaded and effort to send practical messages of love and support to our service men and women overseas. They are gathering much needed items (listed below) and shipping them to locations where simple necessities are hard to come by. Your donations are immensely appreciated by the soldiers as these are the items that they themselves are asking for. Many are living in tents without the luxuries of running water or access to things we take for granted (shampoo, razors, gum, hand sanitizer, magazines). Donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at New Hope Community Church 3707 Edgewood dr. Cincinnati, OH 45211 Monday through Friday between 9and 5 or Sundays from 8:30 AM till noon. Monetary donations are also welcome as each box costs $12.50 to ship.
May God watch over our families as they serve, comfort those at home awaiting their return, and reunite them all safely and quickly. Amen.
